Energy (kWh) Meters

PPE can provide energy (kWh) meters for single or three phase, as either direct connect up to 120 A or
external CT input for any larger load. DIN rail or panel mount (96 x 96 mm) versions are available, all with
pulse output for remote monitoring. All meters can be interfaced into monitoring software via our pulse interfaces
or data loggers.

Multi-function Meters

PPE can provide multi-function meters to display volts, amps, kW, kVAr, kVA, kWh, PF, Hz & THD.
DIN rail or panel mount (96 x 96 mm). Meters feature true rms measurement, with optional harmonic
analysis, configurable pulse/alarm output(s) and ModBus communications enabling compatibility with
our monitoring software.

Power Quality Analysers
|
PPE can provide the QNA 412 leading power quality analyser which is one of very few analysers certified to IEC 61000-4-30
Class A. This analyser is available in fixed or portable options and features harmonic analysis to 50th order,
recording of supply voltage dips, swells and interruptions and flicker measurement, for comparison to EN 50160
and/or G5/4 standard. Each analyser is supplied with free of charge Power Quality analysis software.

Portable System Analysers
|
PPE can provide simple to use portable system analysers to monitor volts, amps, kW, kVAr, kVA,
kWh, PF, Hz & THD, harmonic current and voltage analysis to 50th order and optional voltage disturbance
recording. Analysers are available as kits with a range of clamp-on or flexible current clamps. Each analyser is
supplied with free of charge Power Quality analysis software.

PPE can provide Automatic Monitoring & Targeting (aM&T) software with alarms, Electrical Network
Management software and single display “meter-less” systems for LV switchboards.
Features include an integral web server for licence-free, multi-user remote access, graphical trends,
tables and energy reports. A range of communications options are also available including Ethernet
TCP/IP LAN, GPRS and low-power radio.

Analogue Instruments
|
|
PPE can provide analogue instruments to indicate volts, amps, Hz, kW, kVAr, Cosφ, hours run and ohms,
in addition to process indicators with analogue inputs and synchronoscopes and synchronism relays for
generators. Meters can be supplied with 90°, 240° or 360° scales with a wide selection of ranges. Instruments also
feature single or double pointer displays (some with phase selector) and are available in DIN rail or panel mount versions
in 48 mm, 72 mm, 96 mm or 144 mm sizes.

Digital Instruments & Measurement Transducers

|
PPE can provide disgital instruments to display volts, amps, Hz, kW, kVAr, power factor or oC, in addition to indicators
for earth leakage, amp-hours or pulses. These instruments have optional expansion modules for analogue or
digital outputs or ModBus communications which is compatible with monitoring software. Also available are
transducers for amps, volts, Hz, kW, kVAr, power factor, cosφ, THD or ohms.

Current Transformers & Shunts
|
|
PPE can provide a complete range of moulded case, split-core, multi-ratio and summation CTs with primary currents
from 40 A up to 5000 A, accuracies up to 0.2 S and 5 A, 1 A or 4-20 mA outputs. Also available are a range of mV
output shunts.

Industrial Earth Leakage Protection
|
|
PPE can provide a complete range of transformers, relays, transformers with built-in relays, residual
current displays and multiple relay devices with 4 or 8 inputs. Devices provide true rms measurement
and are immunised against transients.

Self-reclosing Overcurrent & Earth Leakage Protection
|
|
PPE can provide motorized self-reclosing action RCCBs which remove the need for manual intervention in
most cases and reduce unnecessary downtime of critical equipment, whilst still maintaining full protection
during fault conditions.

Transient Surge Protection
|
|
PPE can provide single or three phase, DIN rail mount protection against surges defined by IEC 61643-1,
including 40 kA rated for main switchboards and 15 kA rated for sub-distribution boards. We also offer
protection for RS-232 and RS-485 communications cables.
